These heat pumps are part of a range of purpose built units for Swimming Pool heating where air temperatures rarely drop below 8ºC during the heating season. The "20" range features Built in water flow regulation Plastisol coated weather proof cabinet Epoxy coated Evaporator Seamless marine grade Cupro Nickel heat exchanger Digital thermostat that indicates set and actual pool water temps Comprehensive "status" indication Non Ozone damaging refrigerant.
Similar in operation to a refrigerator, Heat pumps absorb energy in the form of heat and moisture from outside air, upgrading this energy to a usable form of heat through the unique ability of their refrigeration circuit. Calorex heat pumps are manufactured to suit a large variety of applications. The 20 Range will successfully heat the pool water throughout a typical summer season. Operating efficiently when outside air temperature is 7°C and above, this range of heat pumps offers 22-24 weeks swimming during a typical UK summer. Simple plumbing is required to ensure a set pool water flow is established. Calorex are offered in two models - standard season (May to September) and an extended season (March - November), the Y models below. Each model come with a 3 year warrantee.
